Editor
This is where you can create your own levels. Simple layouts can be drawn in seconds, and even complex levels can be created in minutes. The game includes a set of example levels for you to modify.

The editor works like a painting program and you can paint bricks, rubys and special characters (skateboarder, "End of Game" Ruby etc.). Click on the block you want and use with the left mouse button to "paint" it onto the screen. You can use the right mouse button to delete blocks.

Each level must contain either:

  • A Key (collecting this moves character to next level) or
  • On the final level a Large Ruby (represented in the editor by a red cross).

Editor Functions

CLEAR: Clears the current level. If you just want to clear individual blocks then click on them using the right mouse. (Keyboard Shortcut: Delete)

COPY/PASTE: You can COPY and PASTE whole levels using the COPY and PASTE commands. To duplicate a level, click on the COPY button, then move to the target level and click on PASTE. The previous level will be PASTED onto the screen overwriting the existing layout. (Keyboard Shortcuts: C and P)

TEST: Click on the TEST button to test your level. While testing you can press the ESCAPE key to return to the editor, or after you have successfully completed the level you will be returned to the Editor screen automatically. (Keyboard Shortcut: ENTER)

NEXT/PREVIOUS LEVEL: Click on the arrow buttons (in the bottom right of the screen) to save the current level and move to another level. (Keyboard Shortcut: Cursor Left or Right)

TIMER: Click on the arrow buttons (in the bottom left of the screen) to change the time available for the current level.. The unit on the timer represents 10 seconds. eg. set to 12 for a two minute time limit. Set to zero for unlimited time. (Keyboard Shortcut: Cursor Up or Down)

Bricks

  • Brown and Yellow Bricks: These are solid objects for creating platforms or walls.

  • Blue Block: This is a slide. The character can safely slide down this.

  • Ladder: For climbing (naturally).
