Adaptive Access

Levelgames are designed to be accessible for players who are unable to handle the high-speed and rapid-fire pace of traditional computer games.

The first of the Levelgames series "Alien Invasion" includes the following enhanced accessiblility features:

Control Panel - this enables the player (or 3rd party) to adjust the game through a very wide range of settings. Adjustments can even be made while the game is being played
Individual Settings - Each player can use his/her unique access method AND control panel settings.
Multiple Access Methods - all major functions are simultaneously available through keyboard, mouse, joystick and alternative access*.
Low Vision/ Large Character option. Features larger aliens, player's ship, special effects (see image above). Reduced detail in background to increase contrast.

In addition to the traditional joystick, mouse, and keyboard controls, many alternative accessing devices can be used to play the game. eg. Aliens can be fired at and destroyed by clicking on them with the mouse or by touching the alien using a suitably configured Touch Screen.

The main game functions are available through keystrokes and mouse actions. These can also originate from expanded keyboards and other Windows compatible alternative accessing devices.

Alien Invasion has been tested with:

Joystick (some menu options are not directly accessible but the game can be played)
Dragon Dictate(tm) speech recognition
